INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIXING AMERICAN GOVERNMENT

b. Indicate your party affiliation is the “T.O.S.S Party” when you register to vote. If you’re already registered, simply change your party affiliation to the “T.O.S.S Party.” Check with your state government’s website for voter information. It should explain how to change your party affiliation.

c. VOTE!!! On Election Day, get out and vote. Vote Democratic. Vote Republican. Vote Conservative. Vote Libertarian. Vote Independent. Vote for the Great American Cornflake Party. But for heaven’s sake, vote! Just don’t vote for candidates already in office and seeking reelection. Don’t vote for the incumbents.

That’s it. You’re done.

If all you ever do is register as a T.O.S.S. Party member and vote in elections, you’re already helping to bring about a long overdue change in American politics. Every T.O.S.S Party member means one less Democrat or Republican. You’ll still be free to elect their candidates; you just won’t be able to vote in their primaries. But that’s a good thing. Suppose the Republicans and Democrats gave a primary and nobody came? Well now, that would be a bit of a problem, wouldn’t it? Would they feel comfortable nominating candidates that received almost no support? Or might they just start looking for better candidates? How are the two major parties supposed to know you’re fed up unless you let them know in unmistakably terms that even THEY can miss?

Abandon the two major parties.

Just as they’ve abandoned us. Force them to rethink the way they do business. Force them to stop business-as-usual. Force them to reconsider the kind of candidates they nominate for office. Force them to worry about their own futures. The way we have to worry about ours. Perhaps they won’t be so inclined to take us for granted. Perhaps they’ll notice they’re also part of the problem.

If you want to go even further, stop sending the Democrats & Republicans your checks. Stop donating your time and money. Stop helping these parties strangle the political process in America. Stop helping them destroy freedom of choice in the political process. Stop letting them have a near monopoly on Federal, State, and local government office. Stop letting them choose losers to run your life. Stop letting them pick your pocket.

Stop letting them ignore you.

It’s your village. It’s your town. It’s your city. It’s your parish. It’s your district. It’s your State. It’s your country. It’s your government - all of it. Yours. Not theirs.

Take it back and make it work for you.
