Where is our focus?
The T.O.S.S. party is focused entirely on one country and one country only—our country—the United States of America. It’s not that we don’t like the rest of the world. It’s not that we don’t care about the rest of the world. It’s just that, with over 6 billion people in 200+ countries, we believe there are more than enough other people around to worry about the rest of the world. Most of them are probably nice and quite a few are probably very smart. They don’t need an American political party telling them how to solve their problems. That’s their job.
The T.O.S.S Party is interested in America-period.
And the only thing about America the T.O.S.S. Party concerns itself with is fixing our government. We don’t have an agricultural or foreign policy agenda. Or trade agenda. Or national defense agenda. We do not focus on the environment. Or economics. Or terrorism. Social Security. Health care. Education. Or even taxes.
We're interested in fixing our government-period.
Why such a narrow focus? First, those other things are extremely important to nearly all Americans. But each requires government involvement in some way. And since our government doesn’t work the way it should, none of those other things can work the way they should either. It’s just not possible to do business efficiently and effectively with a broken system, no matter how important the issue. Second, the T.O.S.S. Party is concerned with fixing only one thing (our government) because we don’t want to take on more than we can handle. Like our government does. So, we chose to focus on one issue, and only one issue.
Fixing our government-period.
